My Dad was telling us a story he read in Autocar magazine the other week about a guy in America who spotted his car being stolen. He immediately ran after the car, grabbed onto the spoiler, and hung on calling the police on his mobile whilst the thief tried to shake him off. Twenty minutes later the police cut the car off and caught the thief. Autocar awarded him the ‘Hanger-on of the Year Award’. Fair play to the bloke for hanging on that length of time - that’s dedication for you! But we couldn’t figure out why the thief didn’t try to reverse into a wall, lucky for the ‘Hanger-on’ that the thief was a bit thick!
