This past weekend I’ve been hosting another couchsurfer – Mirko from Deutschland. Took him to the North Coast on Friday and then on Sunday we explored a little of Co Down until the cold and wet made us beat a hasty retreat – it was only 8 flippin’ degrees! Hopefully I’ll get some photos up here soon when Mirko sends the ones he took with his digital camera.
Meanwhile on Saturday I was out with the Canoe Club paddling Portmore Lough in sea kayaks with a group of birdwatchers – as you do! Never knew this lough even existed but it’s a nice spot, really peaceful. Weather was pretty good & stayed dry for us. Pretty windy on the lough and hard work paddling against the wind, but we had a good day out.

Right better get back to my mental health assignment…
… Did you know that mental health is “a rubric, a label which covers different perspectives and concerns, such as the absence of incapacitating symptoms, integration of psychological functioning, effective conduct of personal and social life, feelings of ethical and spiritual well-being and so on.” … or so some bloke called Kakar said in 1984…Do you feel my pain?
